A new thematic episode dedicated to NEUTRALPATH is available for streaming. Tune in to ICONS Innovation Stories podcast!
As cities continue to account for a significant share of global energy use and emissions, the transition to climate neutrality increasingly depends on their capacity to plan and implement systemic change. The latest episode of the podcast series ICONS Innovation Stories “NEUTRALPATH – From buildings to cities (and beyond): when districts join forces for decarbonisation”, examines how cities can move from isolated interventions to district-scale strategies that combine clean energy, urban planning and social inclusion.
Focusing on the role of Positive Energy Districts, the episode explores how coordinated action at neighbourhood level can support more efficient and inclusive urban development, featuring insights from European projects and urban practitioners working on replication, governance and implementation, including Cecilia Sanz Montalvillo (CARTIF and NEUTRALPATH coordinator), Veronika Cerna (ASCEND and former Scalable Cities Secretariat) and Hans Martin Neumann (Director of Urban Development, City of Linz).
Tune in to discover their insights regarding the practical conditions needed to scale up climate-neutral solutions across European cities, from regulatory alignment and investment capacity to cooperation between local authorities and project initiatives. The latest episode of ICONS Innovation Stories is available on Spotify.
