NEUTRALPATH joins the Smart City Expo in Barcelona to share insights on participative governance, sustainable cities and digital solutions for climate neutrality
NEUTRALPATH will take part in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, joining the European Commission expo stand with other 25 European and international urban initiatives and projects. Across three dedicated sessions, we will showcase how citizen-driven governance, digital technologies and collaborative approaches are shaping a sustainable future for European cities.
On 4 November (12:30–13:30), Karel Van Oordt (Eurocities) will join the booth session Making Urban Governance Participative, Impactful and Replicable. Sharing NEUTRALPATH experience alongside three other EU projects ARV, ASCEND, ATELIER, the discussion will focus on multi-level governance, citizens’ role in innovation and practical lessons for replication and capacity building.
On 5 November (14:25–15:10), our project coordinator Cecilia Sanz Montalvillo (Cartif) will take part in the conference session “Future-Proofing Cities: Sustainable Innovations for Liveable Urban Spaces”, exploring how cities can address climate, demographic, and economic challenges through new models of governance, social inclusion, and circularity. The session brings together experts from ASCEND, NEUTRALPATH, oPEN Lab, ARV, IURC, and RESPONSE.
On 6 November (15:20–16:05), Luke Bojčev from the Dresden Municipality will contribute to “Digital Twins for Climate-Neutral Cities: PEDs in Action Across Europe”, a breakout session where four EU projects will highlight how digital twins, AI and interoperable platforms enable cities to accelerate the transition to climate neutrality.
We are looking forward to meeting you at STAND D101 – HALL 2 at Smart City Expo 2025: see you in Barcelona!
